About Me:
  • I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a concentration in Science.
  • I am also certified in Middle Grades Math, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Exceptional Children Services (EC). 
  • This is my twenty-fourth year of teaching.
  • I attended Brown Middle School as a student. (It was Brown Junior High back then.)

Weighted Grading Scale:

60%-Major Works (Tests, Projects, Presentations, Papers, etc.)

40%-Minor Works (Quizzes, Notebooks, Classwork, Group Work, etc.)


Numeric Grading Scale:

A: 90-100

B: 80-89

C: 70-79

D: 60-69

F: 0-59

 

Needed Supplies:
  • 2 - 1 inch poly binders - 2 different colors
  • Loose-leaf notebook paper 
  • Plenty of pencils - mechanical or wooden
  • Pencil pouch
  • Colored pencils
  • Glue sticks - a couple to keep in pencil pouch
  • Highlighters - any color
  • Earbuds to keep in pencil pouch - please, no large or expensive headphones
